I think Monaco Blue Metallic would be a popular color if BMW offered it for the E92 M3. MBM is offered on the 08 M5 & M6 and I think it would look amazing on the new M3.

The color is similar to Jerez but with less black in its blue/black mixture.

Definately saw that brown tint going on in Space Grey under certain light conditions. Also, last Friday compared Carbon Black to Jerez Black under sunlight using swatches and the difference is that Jerez Black comes over as a deeper blue with finer metallic flecks in it. Prefer Jerez.

Thats cool were able to compare! Did you notice any purple?

So you would say Jerez is more blue or more black than Carbon?

Just looking at the outside pics of Jerez compared to my Carbon I'd say the Jerez is "bluer."

Paint color percentages back me up IIRC.

Last few and I must say... some of the best and most flattering pics I have seen on this car. I wish there were some AW pics from these angles and quality. These pics are making it hard for me to justify AW....

Is Jerez what most in the States consider "Midnight Blue"? Looks damn close....down to semantics here it seems, correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree. Re the choice between Jerez black and jet black, I'm not sure the difference in color is worth $500. But if Monaco blue were in the mix, I could see this as a good $500 option if you wanted to discern more blue than black.

I am having the same difficulty between Jet and Jerez! Black is what I am looking for, though the changes in color due to light and angle could be interesting. My reservation seems to be with the purple some have described during certain conditions. I hate purple. While it is good for a children's media character, it is not so for my car.

+1. i love the idea of jerez black seeing that it is M3 unique, has added depth compared to plain old jet black, and has some nice blue in it. don't like the idea of any purple though. it seems that most have reported this in artificial light situations. hopefully we'll hear more as people on the forum pick em up.

Wow! I cant make up my mind either on which color to chose.

Jerez Black or Alpine White with Fox Red interior for either.

My previous E46 M3 was Titanium Silver. This time I want a different color.
