No thanks.

I have enjoyed and completely respect the cameramen from National Geographic who travel the globe to bring stunning images of wildlife and nature! Would I want to go on a Safari in the Congo to see Gorillas, Lions etc in person? F*** no. My imagination is vivid enough to see something without wanting to risk experiencing it.

Cat 4 is pretty serious stuff. Not worth staying. If they're saying get out, get out!

That sounds like a terribly boring way to go through life.

If YOU say so.

I don't want to get off subject here. But I will simply say that I don't have to be a "adrenaline junky" to have enjoyed life as much as I have. I don't take pleasure in feeling unsafe in situations.

Lots of boats in the water in Titusville. Don't suppose there's much you can do, though. Just have to ride it out and pray.

One of only four times in its history... Walt Disney World is closing and evacuating it's resorts.

Stay calm.... just stating that compared to it's non vert counter part, it's heavier. I've got you beat by about 1000 pounds, so i'm ok with chubby but fast.

I agree. Anything north of Pompano should be a ghost town.

What people don't realize as well is that as hurricanes move north, they tend to pick up speed exponentially. What could be a storm moving at 3 -8 mph for a week straight can quickly jump up to 35mph. And while that still seems slow, 35mph can often reach your location faster than you expect. It's usually not stopping for gas or bathroom breaks.
Not stopping for gas or restroom breaks??

Make sure they never name one of these things after ASBSECU E93 then...

you haven't lived until your butt hole has tightened up and the end might be near. Being in a burning building gives me that rush, honestly when the shit hits the fan i only remember bits and pieces my training takes over. its the same thing why guys love combat, its an experience that can not be duplicated. also the same reason for PSD.

My wifes best friend is in palm beach and she could have went to my mother in-laws place in naples but she wanted to ride it out, i don't think shitting in buckets is fun but to each their own

nope, many people here take boats a few hundred feet offshore and anchor them when a storm is coming in rather than leave them in the marina to slam up against one another.

breezy and drizzly here on the west central coast of FL, we're starting to see some feeder bands already. I am about 1.3 miles from the gulf.

What have I missed? Just woke up from a 2-hour nap, looked outside and didn't see anything that got me hard. Regardless, be safe fellow Floridians.

Just saw that Matthew might make landfall around 2AM in Palm Beach County. Right now just began to rain with some light winds but just glad power is still on for now as over 5k people are without power in Dade County, 4K no power in Broward and 3K in PBC.

Nothing going on here around Boynton. If that many people are without power already I don't even want to know what will happen where/if it makes landfall.

Then again I wonder on average how many people are without power under normal circumstances.
