I consistantly buy Shell Vmax 93. On road trips in the midwest, BP 93 is everywhere which I also get. Most brand name gasolines has the special additives, no real reason why Shell is better than BP or better than Chevron for example

all from the same tank but it matters where the gas comes from in the barrel youd prob want the top tier stuff for real instead of the stuff at the botten i noticed a difference with costco gas vs shell for real makes a difference

The BP gas price looks like its in Manhattan. Gas in Manhattan is always more expensive.
haha you cracked me up! Sir, you are absolutely 100% correct!

You mean, all those Premium brands?
... Seriously, I notice absolutely no difference in performance when using Sunoco or 7 Eleven...

... but then, detergent additive level is important to protect the engine...

... maybe 7 Eleven Gas have enough Detergent Additive?

7Eleven buys their gas from Gitco (whatever that company's name is). It is a Venezuelan company. Do you want to support Hugo Chavez? I support the Venezuelan people, but not the nut case who tends to be a lunatic every now and then, and hostile towards US.
I like using Chevron, because they do add that additive Techron; which is an additive to clean your engine from all that gum deposits.
If Chevron doesn't exist, then use Shell, if Shell doesn't exist then use...ahhh Mobile. If none exist, you sir need to ride a bike
I read somewhere that BP and 7 Eleven gas tend to do damage to the fuel pump in the long run. I have yet to find that article.

Last point is false. BMW develops their engines in conjunction with BP and Castrol (owned by BP). Read your manual and see who it suggests to use.

i laughed at this a little bit because that BP gas station is on houston street and the advertisement for the A7 looks disgusting on the curved billboard. Makes me want to vomit, and also in person it looks like trash in the rear. but yeah, OP, you cant compare these 2 prices, and I dont think your M3 will enjoy the 7/11. Stick with BP, in queens its 4.34 on credit card so its not terrible. BP or Shell FTW!

I only run bp or shell. When I use to have my sti, I would consistently see the ecu pull timing due to detonation if I filled up with sunoco. This is all on 93.

But BMW and my SA recommend it. I used it when I can. If I'm out somewhere and need gas I'll get it where ever, but I try to stick with Shell.

yeah bro you cant go wrong with BP. I dont care what people say about them, I highly respect the company for giving back to communities. The entire Caribbean is basically built by BP. If you cant get BP go with Shell. Im sticking with BP for now as their prices are usually still lower than shell but I swear I get better mileage using it. for the first 7k miles of the M3's life I was getting 9mpg's, average @ 9.6. just 1900 miles later my consumption is up to around 11mpgs city, average @ 12.8. (I drive in the city 80% of the time hence the piss poor mileage)

I never intended on using BP as primary gas, but the shell stations refuse to take my card at the machine and I cant be fucked to go in and pay for gas every time at the register with the card. I dont get this problem with my American Express cards, but my Citibank cards never let me pay at the pump so fuck it. BP all the wayyyyy
