KWV3 ride height adjustment...HELP!
I got done installing the KWV3 yesterday. The front ride height is darn close but the rears are too high (I left the ring in the middle of the collar). So now I have the rear of the car lifted off the ground, but I CANNOT get the stupid adjustment ring to spin. The entire assembly (ring and the threaded collar) turn when I try to adjust it. My guess is that there is too much load from the spring. Is there any way to get this thing to work or is my ONLY option to go through the pain of uninstalling the lower control arm, strut from the entire assembly and then adjusting the ring? I sure as hell hope not because it was a bitch to get everything to line up back there during the install. Hope to get some feedback on this!

Alright thanks to a search on the regular 3 series forum I came across this:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=239019 Did the trick. Got the car pretty darn close to the height I want it at. Will see how the suspension settles the next few weeks, will readjust, and then get the alignment done.

It is a pain. Depending on how much you need it to travel, you might be better off to get it back on a lift, relieve the pressure and reset the collar to closer to where you want it.

After giving it some thought, the best solution I can think of is to cut a notch into the black collar so you can put a coilover wrench on it. Not sure what the hell KW was thinking when they designed this.

Vise grips on the collar edge work fine. But I agree, they could have did a little more about that.

apply some grease or lubrication to the collar and itll start turning . I faced this issue with the rear right strut (with the kw ddc setup ) and it works just fine .
