Your friend does an excellent job. Good idea to protect the original paint from the element of nature.

This does look amazing but what does something like this cost? I only ask because wouldn’t it be cheaper to just repaint a few pieces if need rather than do this?

In fact it would'nt only be a few pieces that would need to be repaint, you need to know that I take full advantage of the sportiness that the M3 offers even in winter, which means, I pass a rear set of tires every winter! Last year was the first winter I drove it and the front bumper, the hood, the side skirts and the flares behind each wheels really took a hit!

Plastidip cost me less then painting just a bumper and it gives me that peace of mind when driving my car in rough conditions + it's like having a new car and change is always fun!

P.s. I'm also a big freak about keeping the paint original!

I get it about keeping the paint original if possible. I have never lived in an area where snow is so I have no clue what it can do to a car. Either way it looks great from your photos.

It's not the snow that's rough on the car, it's all that salt and the sand that they put on the road to prevent people from slidind! When you follow people on the higway you can literally ear it hitting the paint, not a fun feeling! Now with the Plastidip, nothing can take my smile off my face!

Thanks for the explanation. I had no idea. So the salt is basically like little rocks getting kick up onto your car. I guess I am glad I do not have to worry about something like that.

Any idea how much weight this adds to the car? From the applications I've seen, the plastidip is pretty thick.

Alex, car looks great. Although I would really miss S.graph!! Luckily I don't have to deal with the snow here in SC.

Also, beautiful house. There's nothing like creating something in your mind and then have it in real life. Awesome!

Thanks for the compliments , yes it is really cool to see a project like this concretize! I was a bit afraid at first that the house would look plane because I did'nt went with a lot of complicated designs because I'm a beginner in architecture but finally me and my girlfriend could't be happier of the design, we receive a lot of compliments and we see a lot of people stop in front of the house to look at it , there's even a couple that came knocking at the door to ask what model was it and if they could visit because they're about to build one and really like ours!

As for my Sparkling graphite, it's only to appreciate it more next summer!

Love that army look, i bet you get even more looks now. I wouldnt mind doing something like that if its not too $$ and it is easy to remove when you want. You need a big gun attached to the roof and you're set..
