Wouldn't trade M3 for Maserati
Went with my wife to get her a new car. She landed a 2013 land rover sport (her dream car). The dealership is huge and they have Bentley, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, and some Ferraris. The guy asked me what I drive and I told him an M3. He said that's a sweet ride but I can help you get in a Maserati. I could afford a Maserati at this point in my life but without any thinking I instantly said I wouldn't trade the M3 for even the Ferrari lol. Man I'm I crazy or this pure love.

I agree. Depending on the Maserati you're gonna get negligible performance gains if at all for a shitload more money. The Ferrari engine sounds alone are almost worth the price of admission though...almost.

So you wouldn't take a 458 over your M3? Sorry dude, but ease up on the kool-aid. M3s are great cars but 458s are in a whole different category (above M3s).

Ferrari provides detuned engines for Maserati.

Had the chance to drive a Maserati gran turismo a year ago and although its a great luxury car with a nice engine and transmission I felt it was way more of a luxury car than a performance car and that an M3 would destroy it in the performance category easy

No, it's Fiat, and also the parent of Ferrari, sorry.

I don't think anyone would mind a 458 to drive on nice days - I personally think it's the most beautiful car ever made.
would still need to have an M3 though for daily driving. |

You are correct. I forgot about Fiat's involvement. Ferrari does provide the motors for Maserati.

And they are fantastic. These GT and quattroporte models are luxurious inside, I'll say that. The use of rosewood is extraordinary.

Never cared for how Maserati's looked. The only thing at this point that would make me trade in the M3....is the GT3. Yeah, I'd DD it.

I would take a Ferrari over an M3.... And I'd take the Maserati if it shared garage space with the M3. They're pretty fat and slow but for looks and an engine, they're amazing. Lease rates for Maserati's are surprisingly good though, I think a GT S is only $1200/month with 10k miles per year. M5's are around $1800.

I may be in the minority but Maserati does nothing for me in terms of looks. It has the huge gaping fish mouth and looks way too large and bulky. To me, it looks ugly. Besides the sound it makes, nothing about the car appeals to me.
