I love the EDC settings. Having driven a long trip recently, having the comfort mode was nice for the boring interstates. But having the sport+ mode for handling mountain roads and urban traffic driving is wonderful.

[QUOTE=BMRLVR;8423490]In the US it is $2500 for ZCP. The option costs for 19" wheels and EDC in the US is $1250(19") and $1000(EDC) individually...... The net difference is indeed $250...... A excellent deal for the package IMO.
QUOTE] Don't really want to bring it up because of the naysayers, but the optional 19" 220 wheels are forged which cost quite a bit more compared to the cast 359 wheels in the ZCP. That's why on paper, ZCP looks like a great deal. |

2011 sedan no ZCP
EDC and 19" yes My logic --the car is a daily driver, NY/NJ roads not the greatest, will not track the car to see full benefit. But .... wheels look nice |

True, but when you consider that the cost to upgrade from the standard 18" 219M to 359M including tires would probably be about $1000 (or more) anyway, then it's still a good deal. It just happens that the 220M are an even better deal, going by aftermarket list prices.
Also, 359M are wider than 219M/220M thus allowing for wider tires. Although I think the max without clearance modifications is 295 in the rear and a 220M might be able to accomodate that as well (not sure). But I'd still rather have the 10.5" wheel for a tire that wide. |

Generally, I look at all the options in this way... Get 'em all and whatever you don't like, you can adjust or disable. The new ZCP in comfort mode is VERY comfortable. What you can't do is add it later.
Also, the money thing should not be a big factor when you're talking about a car cost between $68-74K. In for a penny, in for a pound. |

Pretty sure I am going to go with 220M wheels and EDC, and skip ZCP.

Is EDC really worth it? If you plan on dropping the car anyways?
I drove the M3 with EDC and without and its a nice feature forsure but for the extra 2k here in Canada, I was thinking why not just put coils on. And yes I know you can get coils that go with EDC there just more expensive. Im thinking of going with the 18" wheels because im putting on aftermarket wheels for summer and can use the 18" wheels for winter. I also was thinking no EDC because I want to put on coils. Am I wrong for thinking that way about the EDC? |

EDC has 3 settings -- comfort, sport and sport+. It's instantaneous and the differences are quite profound. I've had use for all 3 settings in few weeks I've had my car.

Like I was saying earlier though...
Why not just go with ZCP, buy some 220M, pull off the 359M, sell them, and come out even (or better). There, you just got active Sport+ EDC mode, more aggressive MDM mode, and a 1cm drop for free (well, ok, for $250). I really can't understand why people are so eager to pass up the ZCP programming and suspension drop if you want both EDC and 19s in the first place. |

What you say obviously makes sense, but there is a hassle in finding someone (preferably local) who has brand new 220M wheels and wants to trade for brand new ZCP wheels. I'm not interested in a used set plus cash or something like that. Ideally I'd really like my car to arrive at the dealer the way it's going to stay....

Sure, it will take a little bit of work. No need to trade though - just buy the 220M first, then sell the 359M later. I just can't see passing up the ZCP-specific stuff, knowing it cannot be retrofitted (well, the lower suspension can, the programming cannot).
But I guess we just see it differently. No need to debate further. |

I have the Tech pkg, so I have the EDC. I picked mine up in May, so it's not a 2011.5
I wasn't even offered the ZCP, my dealer was pretty lousy, I found out about it before my car was built and kicked around adding it. the dealer was a real PITA about trying to add stuff, they wouldn't budge off retail. I'll echo what one member said regarding the EDC being "quite profound", the hardest setting can beat you up pretty well if you aren't on a really nice road. |

i bought mine used (well barely, 2k miles) and it is not zcp although it has aftermarket wheels that sort of look like the zcp wheels. if i could have found a comp package car with the other stuff i wanted i would have bought it, but the package was not a deal breaker for me. i found a car with good options at a good price so i snagged it...and don't regret it for a second!

Got ZCP, I honestly did not think I would love them but man they are nice. I would have regarded later not getting the ZCP. My advice is if you can afford them just get it.
Wheels are awesome...
