Anyone local with the OEM Exhaust mod?
Just curious if anyone local has done the OEM exhaust mod. If so, I'd love to meet up and hear it, I'm thinking of doing it, but not sure if I can live with the increased sound. I'm the type that likes to stay under the radar most of the time, but the OEM mod sounds reasonable for the price.

I'm seriously thinking of doing it but paying a shop to do it. If you want, I think we can both approach the same shop and negoitate a discount, we can tell them it's basically the same job on both exhausts, so their processes can be streamlined. Hopefully we can get this done for like $300 a pop or something, I have to see how much others have paid.
anyways, let me know, I still might chicken out, I have to listen to Kameri's first to decide if I still want to mod it or not. |

got it, the idea is if you close all the pipes, it should be louder than closing 2, i'd like to hear yours too. I talked to Sean05, he said he only did 2 pipes.

I did this mod to my car if you are interested. I am in Charlottesville, VA about 2 hours south of DC and will be around this weekend if you want to come hear it/ go for a ride. I covered only the two pipes with lots of perforations in them. Here is a link to the thread I made when I did the mod. I did it all in my garage and just had a shop weld the muffler back shut again.

So where can we go to get this mod done? Any recommendation for muffler shops?
I want to cover both pipes but do I replace both pipes with new straight pipes or just cover it up with something else.

shouldn't cost more than $300 for 3 hours, do a search on the forum for vids. If there's at least 3 of us interested, we should see if we can get a shop do a group discount.
