Who is confirmed on this mofo? I'll be finding out from my CA tomorrow as it's supposed to leave port on the 18th.

What build week were you? I completed production on the 12th but just went to awaiting transport today on the automated phone system. I was hoping to get on the courage as well.

My car completed production on Monday, June 9 -- and arrived at the port on Wednesday, June 11. (Just so you know, both the automated phone number and the BMW website say that the vehicle is still waiting for shipment at the port. The dealer is going to be much more current with info than either the folks on the 800 number or the website.)

Which dealer did you go to? Do you have the bill of lading?

I just called my CA and he doesn't know for sure if it's on the boat, he said that the system doesn't update immediately. So that contradicts your statement. I'll call him again on Friday or Saturday. But he "guarantees that my car should be on that boat" so we'll see.

My dealer's in NJ (Bloomfield). I don't have the B/L, but I didn't ask for it either.

Good luck. It's interesting that one dealer has the info but another doesn't. A possibility: Since it takes some time to load a ship, maybe my car was loaded (and recorded as loaded) a day before yours? Just guessing.

It's now arriving one day later than scheduled, I see. If the ship really does arrive on July 1 (Tuesday), when do you think cars would be arriving to dealers in the NYC metro area? Any guess?

My guess is that you could have your car by Saturday at the latest. It depends how backed up the VPC is.

Saturday would be terrific -- and I hope you're right -- but I'm worried about the holiday effect. Anyway, I'm heading for vacation on Monday afternoon so that's my drop-dead date. (Yeah, and if it comes after I leave for vacation you can put the break-in miles on while I'm gone!)

Well, it looks as if the Courage is slowing down...a lot. Against its original NY arrival date of June 30, it slipped last week to July 1 and now it's showing arrival on July 2! What are they doing...trying to save fuel??

1. Pirates
2. Drunk captain
3. High wind
4. NYC port is backed up

Just let the dealer know that I'm coming to pick it up and I'll even grab you from the airport when you return
