Dinan car in Bay Area

After I've had my M3 for a few months now and have done a few autocrosses and a track day, I feel like I'd like to see if I could do something to help with the cars turn in and understeer. I have a 2011 with ZCP and while I do autocrosses and track days, the car is mostly a daily driver. So I'd like to keep the EDC dampers and really don't want to go the full coilover route. I have been looking into some of the Dinan suspension setups and wondered if there is anyone in the area that has one I can check out and/or drive. Any experiences with the various stages and options or comments on the various Dinan shops in the area are welcome too.

Hi,
I know that Performance Technic recently installed the Dinan suspension on their shop E92 M3. They'll be testing it at Thunderhill Raceway tomorrow and will be able to provide more feedback soon.

I'm sure Joe would be happy to take you for a ride in the car when they get back to the shop on Wednesday. You can reach them at 925-426-1361 or on Facebook ("Performance Technic").

Yes, we just recently installed the Dinan race coilover setup to our 2013 M3 with EDC. It works well and comes with camber plates. At the track this past week it handled really well for what it is and the spring rates are very street friendly. The other cool thing is that you can swap in higher spring rates if you decide you want something more aggressive later on.

Please let me know if you'd like to check it out.

Dont even need all that. If you have track wheels or are going to get them try 265s or 275s all around pull the pins to get more camber and set your alignment in front to be slightly toe out. For autox it may help. Do this first. If you can do it all yourself its free except the tires which you can keep using anyways.

Dinan race setup is almost 3k and doesnt even come with dampers. Too much money for me to justify that purchase. Might as well pay a little more and get a full coilover then (if price is one of your factors in why you dont want to go full suspension).
