Congratulations Greg! I look forward to seeing some pics and hearing more. I hope you have great weather this weekend...either way, I'm sure you'll be enjoying your car.

Congrats Greg; I'm glad the long wait is finally over for you.

I think the foglight indicator is actually the daytime running light symbol. I think you can turn off the DRLs on idrive, that should extinguish that dash light.

I'm glad to hear about the HD radio. That's the first good feedback I've read. I debated on that decision myself.

Are you taking the M3 skiing? I ended up skiing in CO this week and accumulated 107,000 vertical feet in 4 days. Had great weather and good conditions.

Congrats Greg and can't wait to see it. Can you explain what you meant by:

"Will install the color-corrected halo and cornering lamps tomorrow."

Congrats! Enjoy your new M3. I can't wait to read more of your impressions as you get more miles on it. Did you sell those wheels with the E46? Sorry if I missed it in a thread somewhere.

The daytime running lights don't have a symbol. This must be something else.

Congrats greg, loved the first impression - pics or massive disappointment will ensue as I have the same car as you.

Looked really good; only miss was they forgot to take the blue protective plastic off the dead pedal.
My dealer made the same "mistake" Or perhaps it is on purpose to insure that it doesn't get scuffed prior to delivery?

Why is there a fog light symbol constantly illuminated in the instrument cluster? I'm taking that puppy apart and blacking it out soon.
Hold the disassembly! I don't know for sure what you were looking at but my guess is if it was green and looked like two back-to back Ds it was the low beam/parking light on indicator. I'm betting the car was delivered with the lights in auto mode and if the weather was crappy they were probably on.

May be switching my music to lossless MP3.
If you do this I recommend WMA Lossless over WAV. WMA Lossless can be tagged while WAV cannot. iDrive knows how to read the tags and will allow you to browse by artists, genre, title, etc. Since lossless files are rather large you may want to consider the Lacie 60GB 3600RPM USB hard drive that GeriFix and I use. Its great!

Congrats!!!

You are probably right.

Right again--manual page 13 show this as "parking lamps/low beams" indicator

Thanks--I know just enough to be dangerous in this area.

The lamps for the "angel eyes" or "halos", as well as the "cornering lights" have a more yellowish light than the xenon/HIDs. See this thread for options on other H8 & H3 bulbs that will make the light color temperature match: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=124226

Nope, RAC RG4s are potentially for sale.
