355mm BBK vs stock fronts
Am super close to purchasing a stoptech kit with 4-piston fronts/rears to maintain compatibility with my stock 18's (though my current wheels can fit a 6-piston solution).
my question- the 355mm stoptech fronts actually have less surface area than the stock fronts (which is very slightly larger). so, do I actually gain all that much? mike |

The most gain from a BBK is the fade properties not just size differences.

Yes but also caliper material and size. FWIW, I had 355 4-piston front Stoptechs on a 350Z I used to own. I could beat on them with no fade ever. My guess is that you will have no issue.

This thread will provide some insight into the differences. The rotor size is a factor but airflow, rotor mass and caliper mass are more important.

The st rotors are thicker. 35mm vs 30mm for stock.
Also, frustration and time saved during pad changes is also a big plus.
