Any local shops that can troubleshoot i-drive/electronics related issues?
No problems yet, but I'm seriously thinking of not buying the extended warranty. Even if I do, I will only get Powertrain + . So anyone know local shops that can diagonse and fix electronics/i-drive related issues, even if it's related to mechanical issues?
For instance, say I have get a EDC related code, someone needs to be able to diagonse to see if it's a eletronic issue or mechanical issue, and be able to fix either. thanks. |

I'd recommend J&F Motors in Arlington. They utilize a BMW Diagnostic computer, GT-1, Software Service Station, BMW Tech Info Systems, and BMW Electronic Parts Catalog (same ones at the dealership). They are very knowledgeable and experienced with BMWs. I've had a good experience with them, and recommend them to others who have quirky issues with their car.
I even use them to trouble shoot some things that a BMW dealer couldn't figure out. After going to them, isolating the issue, and taking it back to the BMW Dealer, viola. Problem solved. http://jfmotors.procarcarezone.com/t....asp?id=107958
