Dinan stage 1 download

Looking to get the Dinan download on my 08 e92 m3. Any input/advise on this would be appreciated. Is it worth the $800? This would be my first mod on the car.

Its not worth it as a stand alone mod. At a minimum you need to do the intake and maybe the exhaust to take advantage of the tune......Phil

I have to disagree! It is the most significant of my many mods because it fixes what to me is a big flaw in the car: A none linear throttle response-now there is no dead zone and pedal travel is utterly proportional to revs. Worth twice the price IMO.

From that perspective I agree. The throttle is definitely more linear. I've seen the actual results first hand on the dyno. But if its power you crave...which most that get a tune do, then I refer back to my original post.......Phil

The software won't make much power however it will raise the rev limit, remove the top speed limiter and make the car smoother to drive.

The Dinan Intake like all other intakes makes almost 0 power over the stock one, same can be said for the Dinan or any other rear muffler. The Dinan mid-pipe will definitely make power though. Not all of the Dinan parts make as much power as they claim.
