Honestly, before I began researching 4 door performance cars, I didn't pay much attention to M's. I noticed them because they look better than normal 3 series running around, but that's about all I knew about them. Friend of mine in the military had one, he swore by it, but I never rode in it or anything. I just remember him being completely smitten with the car. It wasn't until my kid came along that my GT500 was no longer meeting my requirements. I will say though, if I didn't have a kid and was looking, the 2011 GT500 w/ a trip to Vegas Shelby would be mighty tempting... or the GT350. That will be a rare car...

If you really want a car that no one has then this is your car.
Look it up. Only 1 made in this world. When you drive this one you will know for sure NO ONE will have a car like yours. Who cares? Enjoy your M3, people buy cars to enjoy them not because they want a rare one. No matter what it's an amazing car and will always have it's place no matter how many are on the streets. Honestly I live in the West LA area and I see more Bentleys, Astons and Porsches than M3s

I was going to post some nasty comment, but after seeing the beating this poor schmuck just took, I just feel sorry for him.
I want my car to be unique so I'm putting one of these on the bumper. My old Hello Kitty sticker is just played out. |

For being in car state USA (California) I see more 335's and 5 and 7 series. I find That the M3 is such a Sexy and well rounded sports car, And this may be the reason for it's Road presence.

Considering my M3 looks like every other E92 on the road to 99% of the population, it's quite common.
Nobody cares.

there are plenty of m3s in the dc metro area. I mean even the first year back in 2008 I saw one every month. For sure now there are more but who cares? In fact there are 4 other e9x m3s near my work garage and 1 IS-F. I saw a GTR 2 weeks ago. The fact is that this area has people with money, especially with you living in VA, Tysons and McLean area has its fair share of exotics. Instead of selling the car why not supercharge it?

People/girls round my way call it the "cute" white BMW coupe. So that right there tells me it looks common. I really don't care much for it. Quite a few times though I see E9X M3's in my area of Northern NJ and NYC. But I guarantee you driving around puts a damn good smile in my face.

HAHA...from everyone talking about driving putting a smile on their faces, I get this really funny image of a bunch of m3's with all the owners grinning inside for no reason! Not saying it's bad...just a funny image.
Regarding OP, everyone should chill out...He was just asking a question. You all seem like a bunch of haters talking this much shit...

Don't see very many and I live in Southern California where E46 M3s were/maybe still are a dime a dozen.

I hope you don't think that you are driving a "limited edition" car or something.... Who cares if they are everywhere. I hope you did not buy your M3 thinking that they are limited production.

I also live in Socal and I dont see as many as youd think. Now e90/2's are ridiculously common. When I had my e92 335, (i sold it 3 weeks ago), I would absolutely ust over e92 m3's. Hell I still do.....
But really, the car is for the driver and the driver only. If more people have M3s, good for them! |
