9AA Transport Protection

[B]Anyone know about this (black?) plastic-like stick-on material that protects the cars in shipment to the dealership? Is it easy to apply and remove without injuring the paint? Can this stuff be purchased retail someplace and how much? Love to know if I can use this material to ship my car via open trailer around the country without having to worry about pebble chip damage to the paint finish. Any thoughts and comments would be welcomed. Thanks.
