I see this going on for at least a year or two. People need to feel secure before they start spending again. I hope the holiday season can make a nice little turnaround. Who knows people are running scared.

I really hope the housing market turns around sooner than later because I haven't made a dollar YTD. I'm into my investments for the right price, its just that there are no buyers. Just have to wait it out I suppose.

At least in the building field bad times like these weed out all of the people who were trim carpenters and framers 2 years ago and are now calling themselves builders. When the real estate market was hot you could pretty much take a dump, stick a for sale sign on it, and some moron who made $10/hour would get a mortgage on it, which they have now probably defaulted on. Things will turn around, it just takes time.

Just start after you pull the trigger on a P-car. You know you want to.

I wanted to two months ago. Today is the same common sense voice in my head...."Hang loose until I close a monster account".

There will be plenty of great deals out there. I wish I did not have this addiction for automobiles. I really do. When I get on the scent I think about them on and off all day and night.

Luckily I market a service that is actually easier to sell when things are tight.

retail is a bit slower, but not by much. People still need gas and food....and since gas is cheaper now, people buy food with the money they save...

myself though...i'm going to be unemployed come the end of december....so I guess I'll be joining spool in being a bum...sadly....then i'll have to wait for the tax refund to get my rims
