17x9.5 looks insane. I want to see pictures of the full car.

Yousif, these wheels are perfect for you (and me lol). We've talked about some ultralight wheels in the past and besides the Kosei K1, there aren't many options out there, but these new Apex wheels are epic.
I want some of those! so I can run some 245/285 combo hahahaha that will be nice and grippy! Then! Wes I will go on a canyon run with you

These are perfect for a square setup. 17x9.5 with 255/40/17 all around would be killer. That's what I would do. Too bad the 1 requires such high offsets. If the demand is high enough, I'm sure Apex will make some offsets for the 1.

they do make the in 1er offsets actually. 18x9.5 in the rear et62 can fit a 275/35 iirc. The front is 18x8.5 et50 235/40 is recommended.

linkage wes: NOT very concave like they advertise

Oh yea, I know about the 18's for the 1, but I was talking about the 17's. The 18's don't get concave til 9.5" wide, but for the 17's, they are super concave @ 9" and the offsets are perfect for the e9x non-M (and it looks like there are some 17's for the 1 as well which will have the concave faces!!)

Yeah Apex needs to come out with 1 series 17" offset rims. 255/40/17 RS3's are dirt cheap at tire rack(130$). I would run those as a daily and track for that price lol.

Haha, yup. That's exactly what I would do. I wouldn't have to feel bad about burning through a set of tires in 7k miles.

BTW, anybody down for a little impromptu photo shoot this evening?

I knew you'd like them. I'm going to contact Eddy soon with some questions. I need some new wheels for Bimmerfest.

For your FD? That would be so sweet. I wonder if Apex would make a one-off set for you. I wouldn't be that hard.

Yeah, plus they would have been sweet for my last few cars. I would imagine their current widths and offsets for 3 series fitment would be great for rx-7s, evos, and rwd Nissans, and the 1 series is probably close to S2k fitment, im sure they wouldn't have trouble selling.

I think the S2K offsets are somewhere in between the 3 and 1, but I'm pretty sure that the 350z/370z/G37/G37 have really low offsets (sometimes into the negatives).

Yeah, the G and Z cars have a huge range they can run. My old G35 came with 18x8+30 which is pretty close to our cars and I put 20x9 and 20x10 0 offset and still had room to go without excess camber.

I think there is a little too much exposed CF, but other than that, it's a very clean car.
