ESS VT2-625 M3 DCT VS C6 Z06 (stock)

From a 40 the M3 gets about 2 cars by 130, upon which it starts pulling away good top end and the gap opens up.

From a 50 (last run) the M3 starts in third (too low of a gear, no boost whatsoever for a good two seconds) reels in the Z06 by 140.

Both cars solo, runs done on pump gas in 85-90 degree weather.

In cooler air and race trim (race gas, lightweight wheels/drag radials) I think the results would be a little different. FWIW I've trapped a best of 132@the track.

Once again, the Z06 is extremely impressive even in stock form....its a rocket and a half
Meth to come soon, should make a significant difference in this weather.

nice kills bro. Your car is running strong! Yes...Z06's are so fast because of their weight and torque with the 427. For 505hp they are very impressive.

If your going Meth, I would only consider Aquamist. A few of my friends have been running meth for years and hands down, they are the best on the market. The quality of the system, size of the pump and the continious even flow of the spray cannot be matched. All you need is the Aquamist HFS-3 kit. I'll have mine on soon

Thanksbro, sounds great....yeah that last run just goes to show that if your not starting at 4500rpm and up in the M3 your going to lose everytime against a car that makes real torque. I should have been in second but was hesistent after I almost went sideways on the run before that so I figured I'd let him get a jump and see if I had enough power to make up ground.

Anyways in regards to meth thats exactly what I was thinking and honestly their website is terrible!! I'm going to order the hfs-4 kit from howerton engineering (i think they are their distributor) and use that one. I had a coolingmist with cmgs on my old 335 and I loved that setup but like you said it cannot compare to a PWM setup (like the oem direct injection).

If its cool I'd love to see your setup in person after you do it so I can get some ideas on what size nozzle and progressive settings you have on the controller!

Zim just got meth on his car and supposedly its a huge difference

Thanks....Whats weird is I've raced a ZR1 in 45-50 degree temps while I was on race gas and had my race wheel/tire setup and I actually pulled a car on him from a 45 roll The heat/humidity is making the car suffer imho, as well as these wheels - its like trying to run in construction boots (26lb wheels vs 18 is a huge difference in unsprung weight)

Ricky - pm me your cell and I'll shoot you some pics of where to put the nozzle and the size he used. I spoke to zim last night....his setup is nice

You dont need the HFS-4....just the 3. Howerton is where my friends get their kits from. Agreed on wheels! I finally sold my 20's i got from Zim last year and have a set of 19" Morr's vs8.2 coming next week. Mounting Sal's R888...

There was a guy at a meet I was talking to who had basic boltons and was making over 500 WHP. We were messin' around afterwards and I was shocked. 120 WHP more and 600 lbs less makes for a pretty huge difference.

Thanks guys! ^Yeah I agree, those cars are n/a monsters because of their weight, LS7, and gearing as well! You need more power than them to keep up

I'm loving the meth its now a Totally different car/animal !
And to think most of the competetion uses this as a standard in their setup's for safety ... I Say B.S!!!!! Well 1/2 B.S lol this stuff puts your car in hyper mode and doesn't get tired I now can see how consistent Akash's traps and times were & and the car doesn't heat soak well very little if any and then ofcourse it's added safety .
The power characteristics change I noticed is mid range power and top !! First gear is bazaar.

Whats even more nuts is even though it hot out if its low low humidity you get winter weather performance in hot weather ! Amazing ....

Funny how at one point I was against using meth, well.... I wouldn't say against just didn't believe the safety hype even though it is it's more power rewarding

You guys are gonna love it ! Where I tapped is perfect and
Clean and I'm running 70/30 with it kickin in at 2psi @ 40% duty and 100% at 5psi in conjunction with a coolingmist CM10 nozzle .
I fiddled around with it with Matt ( Einstein himself ) and we concluded the earlier the ecu/Dme see's the meth the better it was able to accommodate the changes it needed !
[IMG][/IMG]
I choose 2psi as the start point so I don't use the meth for normal driving and 1.9psi is more than enough to get the car moving when needed .
Keep me posted on your results Erm & you
Too Scott !
::cheers::

And lastly I wanna thank KB Auto Works in Stamford for a clean clean clean install !
