^ Wise choice. Dr. Colorchips works quite well. And as you noted, there's a higher probability of a paint shop doing a poor job or respraying the bumper cover, or not having it match perfectly in color. And as with most things, you get what you pay for, in regards to the paint shop. Dr. Colorchip + time = forgetting all about those scratches.

I have seen methods such as the below work wonders.. some guys apply a blob squeegee, others apply to individual chips then wipe over..

I have to throw in a recommendation for Dr. ColorChip. My car is Space Gray and I put in scratches on the bottom of my front bumper pulling out on to a street. The scratches were down to the plastic but it wasn't gouged much more than that. It took about 5 passes, but the color match was perfect and I was quite happy with the results.

I'm glad to hear that it worked out well for you. As a last resort, if DrColorChip fails then I will be taking it to MAC (in Glen Cove, Long Island NY) http://www.martinoautoconcepts.com. They seem to do amazing work and Joe was really quick to respond to my email and phone call. I was impressed. Lets hope that DrColorChip does the trick though.

Thanks for all the feedback.
