Thank you all for your advice. I decided to order the package and pick up the car at the performance center. Enjoy.

There is no real cons to the ZCP package. If I dropped the car it wouldn't be much more than 10mm's anyway. The ZCP was a win in my book..I think you made the right choice.

I just got it because the wheels are easy to clean. Don't care for EDC or DSC and all those other nonesense, but buying the wheels separately was not cost effective.

Biggest point - you can't add the M dynamic traction control aftermarket. Springs and wheels, yes, but not the traction control change. Finally BMW gets it right. Drive a 911 and you can get it sideways before the traction control comes on. Finally, instead of BOGGING down, my M3 does the same thing. The lowered ride height and nice wheels just complete the perfect package.

Motor Trend & Others Say Must Have Pkg

Even if g-forces don't blow up and lap times resist slipping in this new Comp-spec M3, it's the hard-core, all-natural feeling that makes the package the best $2500 you can spend on the model. Retaining the M3's everyday practicality and comfort should make the buy all the more sweeter

It's amazing that these minor suspension and electronic tweaks can make such a comprehensive change in the car's already precise demeanor. It's like a Hellfire missile rewired to turn in mere inches. Its explosiveness is still ferocious, but versatility grows tremendously. Simply put, it better uses what it already possesses.

Hustle the M3 around town and the firmer ride instantly becomes recognizable. It's not jarring or uncomfortable, just communicative. Every inch of the passing road transmits through its electronically assisted helm as if your mitts themselves were tracing the surface below.

Before the Competition, corner attacking was vicious, but poised; an event predominantly marked by sharp athletic cuts. The M3 with the new package does the same, but two steps quicker and with studier feet

My driveway won't allow me to do a full drop, so the ZCP package was perfect. I also really liked the 359M wheels.
So...no cons from my standpoint.

If I went with a E92 instead of E93, I would have ordered ZCP for sure.

This. I didn't even want the EDC but I figured changing the traction control limits would be hard to do right aftermarket, and I liked the wheels.

I didn't want to lower my car and wanted my own
(different than everybody) wheels. Didn't care for a stiffer setting
than normal -> skipped it.

Finally had to bite the bullett today and start backing into the driveway. This is a pain but I was tired of the slight scraping when I exit my residence. It was driving me nuts!

i wasn't going to order it when we first looked back in february, but after reconsidering the wheels and the traction control changes, it was worth it.

I left off the comp package for the following reasons. Keep in mind I plan on keeping the car for a long time.

1. 2011s have M drive standard, don't need the comp or tech pkg
2. I did not think that EDC made such a significant difference...more expensive to replace.
3. The wheels look nice but nothing special. 19" tires are expensive and selection is limited.
4. Unlike the E46 ZCP, this version does not include better brakes or a quicker steering rack...the only thing that would be tough to upgrade is the EDC calibration (don't care) and some M-Drive stuff (don't care).

So I will just go with the APEX ARC8s for wheels and Dinan Stage I for a suspension upgrade.

Wheels alone make it worth it. The rest is the bonus.

It's amazing how dichotomous the responses here are. I left off ZCP on my initial order since I liked the look of the 220s more, and didn't care much for the 10mm drop or the EDC for the extra cost.

After the dealer screwed up my first order, and "encouraged" me to reorder save refunding my deposit, I was able to negotiate the ZCP into the deal with negligible cost to me. If I had to pay for it, I'm not sure that I would have ordered it, but since the price was right, I couldn't turn it down!

Pros: Makes the car look GREAT, wasn't for sure about those wheels at first and took me a LONG time before I could say yes, but that was only when pictures were out and I hadn't physically seen a car with ZCP, also price point is around the same area if you configured it with the other 19's and EDC, and it separates the it from the previous model years of the M

Cons: The wheels are a bitch to clean (not a big deal) and that suspension is FIRM...I would like to know a statistic of people encountering rattles with and with out ZCP.

I guess the follow on for my reasoning is that I have a set of 18" VMR CSL reps in my garage which I used on my 330 for daily driving.

Which definitely swayed my decision...probably should have pointed that out.
