E90 M3 Clutch Replacement

Just wondering whos had their clutch replaced and what the cost was. My cars at 135,000km and will probably need a new one in the next year or so.

What makes you believe you'll need a new clutch soon? You'd be surprised how long a stock clutch will last, unless youre thrashing on it. Even still, several E46 guys changed their clutch around 100k and still had plenty of life even after plenty of track life.

Try to roll on a dead stop flat surface take off with 4th gear.

I believe there was an issue with the early model manuals. Look it up cause I believe a chatter is the symptom.

Chatter is normal for these early models when stopped and the manual shifter placed in neutral.

I’ve had clutch chatter on my E46 M3, ‘08 335xi and E90 M3, so no surprise or real problem. I was just wondering if anyone has had a new clutch put in and the cost. I’ve been quoted between $4k and $5k which sounds like a lot!

Replace the clutch on an R8 and the M3 is a bargain!
