Selling or Trading E92 M3

I ordered an M3 and later found out I had a child on the way. I would love to keep my M3 coupe, but really need the Sedan. Anyone got any ideas on trading my M3 coupe with a Sedan? I have a Jerez Black coupe. Tech package, 19" wheels, Satellite Radio, 100 miles.

Don't worry, baby can fit in the back! I doubt you'll find a way to "trade" your car unless you can find another member in an opposite situation. Good luck!

What is the "opposite" situation? Perhaps he needs to find this guy:

Better solution: sell the baby and pay off the car sooner!*

*not advocating this

You shouldnt be putting a baby seat in the M. I have kids, and have had 4 M3s total in my life. NEver ever ever have the kids been in it. That is what the wifes car is for. And trust me, they will TRASH the back of your car...

Keep your coupe, and spend the 2500.00 tha you are going to lose on the deal on a nice older 4 door honda accord or something you can have for car seats

Because lets face it, Im just trying to be real here. Your car is worth 5-6k less now that when you took delivery... so doing this deal, you are going to lose bigtime dollars.

Opposite, one booster and reg forward facing seat going in coupe on day two. Enjoy life, enjoy the car, my kids love the 335i already.... I am imposing a no food rule for the M3 though.

So...you are THAT GUY!

THAT GUY who drives the nice car (60k +) and lets his wife and young children run around in a $2500 POS, that if god forbid they have an accident -their chances of living are about half compared to being in a newer model car with airbags and other safety components.

TO THE OP:
You can put a back seat in your coupe, I've seen it done. Its a bit tougher to access then in a sedan, but its do-able nonetheless.

I just wanted to show you how it looks like and I hope you keep the coupe because I believe you will not have any problems with space.

DITTO!!!

YOUR FAMILY SHOULD BE IN THE NEWEST AND SAFEST CAR...

Keep the coupe...

When I had my 1st baby boy in 2004, I had '03 330i ZHP, which later was traded for '05 ZCP. Of course, we already have '05 X5 4.4i as a family mover...

I bought a E90 for the kid reason. There isn't really an issue as far as the kid is concerned sitting in the back of an E92. However, for me, I KNOW that my seatbacks would get phucked up from her dragging her shoes accross it, etc. So, for easier access and hopefully less wear and tear, I bought an E90 M3.

Plus you can make more kids in the backseat of an E90.

My kids always sat in the back of my old e46 and i had not problems. Also fit the kids in the back of my Carrera 997 too without problems. Their shoes do sometime "trash" my seat backs but nothing a cloth and good leather polish/cleaner cannot fix. The loved both cars and I am sure will love my M3 when it arrives next week.

As for eating...there's a NO food rule in my cars...other than maybe a coke/water with a lid on it. I've pried all the melted choclate bars, and sucked peanuts from the ashtray and rear seats of my other half's coupe/4 door to know better. By now my kids KNOW not to even ask about eating all that messy stuff in my car.

I agree keep your car...train your kids. Save your cash.

Hahaha, nice try though. I was implying the cheaper car for himself not for his lady. I told my wife she could have whatever she wanted, and she chose a minivan. (I tried to get the X5 but she didnt want it) Its a 2007 Honda odyssey, so NO, I am not THAT guy that has a nice car for him and makes his family have a junker. Good try though.

The reason I suggested getting an addition car is when we were expecting our first child, I sold my coupe to get a sedan. When the baby came, I NEVER needed to put it in my car. There were probably ONCE or twice a year where it would have been nice for a few minutes to be able to. Well, I kept at the time an older infiniti G20 to use on snow days (so the M3 wouldnt see the weather much). So I had a car seat in that. I don't see anything wrong with this.

But thanks for labeling me "that guy". Much appreciated.
