OK...., so who's going to be the first to try this...
Apologies if this has been addressed here before, I have seen some owners "dip" their rims, however, this product is going to new lengths.......

I did all the badges and grill on my CLS63 in gloss black Plastidip.
It holds up remarkably well and looks nearly OEM with judicious application. The beauty of doing something like the badges, etc. with it is that they can be done on the car. Its easy to remove after spraying, but becomes somewhat difficult to get off though after it sets and cures for months in the elements. It does come off though. I would NOT do my entire car in it. Talk about an unintentional and unexpected market for the creators of this stuff.. it was made to seal gutters, leaking sinks, showers, etc. |

I was planning on dipping my whole car because winters in nj can get harsh and my car takes a beating with salt and ice, but iv been hesitant. I would like to see it in person and talk to someone that has experience with whole car dipping. Iv already dipped my grills, side markers and rear spoiler. They all came out very well and are holding up flawlessly. Planning on dipping my rims soon before winter. Anyone in or near northern nj that dipped a car before?

There's a guy with a 335i in my town (and e90post stickers, he must be here somewhere) that has his car Plasti-dipped. I think the color is cool, but the finish up close looks like crap IMO.
Here's a crappy shot from my cellphone (in my dirty Honda lol): |

Plasti-Dip is embarrassing on anything other than small trim pieces.
Doing your wheels and body panels screams "I can't afford to do this properly." |

Nooooo!!! Professionally done, or not done at all!! Inevitably, you'll have small imperfections that just look cheap... Nothing on an M3 should look 3rd world... don't do it!

It's also dependent on the whether the owner has good taste in color selection. That green army camo color...no man'am! |

I know, bro... It's definitely not the look most are going for on an M! This is my cruiser, not racer!
