Anyone here with cat deletes?

Folks,

Havent done an intro but been in the area for 1.5 years. Instruct with various CCA/PCA chapters so car is used where it belongs

I have been looking into the cat deletes (front and rear). wondering anyone here has it and I can come and meet, check out the car/sound? With or without stock exhaust is fine. Even better with an aftermarket Need to gauge my tolerance levels.

I live in the DC area and can happy to drive/meet up.

Cheers,

Lutfy

Are you looking for BOTH primary and secondary cat delete? Not sure if anyone in the area would have such a set up due to emissions and uptight LEOs.

If no one in VA, DC or MD has done this, hopefully there is someone in WV who might since there is no emissions there. Doubt there are many WV E9x M3 owners on the forum from the eastern panhandle

Hi Red Baron,

Either or would be fine. It appears removing the primary creates more issues (rasp, CEL issues, smell) so even a secondary delete would be worth checking out.

Thanks again.

Genro757 has a full Akra with primary cat delete and high flow cat and PoweredBy///M has the full ESS exhaust again with primary cat delete and high flow cat. Both don't smell that bad and have the Benvo stage 2 tune for the CEL.

I had that same set up, but I went back to my HFCs. It actually sounded better with the HFCs than without the kitties.

Burger Tuning makes a DPfix as well, I've been using it since last year, no CEL once you find the sweet spot on the DPfix.

Here's a vid I put together of the progression of my exhaust http://youtu.be/-SZ_eAEFJg0

I may be able to help, Fabspeed catless mid, AE rear, and TTP. If you come to MPact tomorrow at Camden Yards I'm sure there will be about every combination you can imagine for you to sample.

I live in WV. Yes no Emissions laws here. I'm going to do the Test pipes with a BPM Stage 2 sometime soon.

Would love to see that once it's done. I frequent Martinsburg daily and bring my M about once a week there.

I will probably order the HFC's in the future but for now no cats and I ordered the Akra deleter for the CEL. Not going to tune this car, went through all of that with my 08 and really wasn't worth the money.
