Felt shaking and heard some rumbling. Enough to get me a little worried, but not enough to do damage. Perfect! Felt like it went on 20-30 seconds for me.

I was right in the middle of the action; we live about 40 miles from the border and it was shaking; we were driving in my wife's car and all of a sudden bam! I thought the car broke the steering rack or something but then I saw the light poles shaking up and down (like nodding yes) literally. When we got home, the china's gone, plants on the floor, TVs on the floor (take god it landed on carpet), my office is a mess (still- I'm tired of cleaning so I'm here), and the WORST PART, my garage oh my God! tools all over, my racing wheels all over the place, parts all over, thank God my other project car wasn't on jack stands.
I hope the worst is over (power and gas is back).

Now there are estimates that it was a magnitude of 7.2! The last significant quake I remember experiencing was loma prieta, that was a 6.9, but damn it was bad.

That area of Mexico (Guadelupe Victoria) gets a LOT of earthquakes, most of them small. Do you feel many of those? I was surprised when I saw how active that area is.
