Dooma!

Looks like you are nearly there.

I look forward to hearing that South Bay have given the car the all clear and everything has worked out.

Keep us posted.

All the best.

That army of engineers exists to wield off any lawsuits / huge settlements if some actually gets hurt by a faulty engineering design.

BMW-NA is responsible for the safety of the car, not the ethics of their dealers.

> Fil's dad owns the business right?

I believe that you are mistaken. I researched this aspect
diligently, but found no data in this regard. What *data*
do you have that supports your implication/hypothesis?

Possibly.

Maybe this should now be stickied or something. It has more posts than most threads have views!

Notice where the car was listed on eBay: BMW -> Other. A search for "M3" will find it, sure, but most people probably just use the links. If Husker had put it under the M3 category like it should be, it might have gotten more hits and more bids. That said, it was linked on this forum prior to close, but I think people didn't look close and just assumed that like most dealer auctions it had a reserve.

Congratulations, Ken. Glad you got your car!

Thanks for demonstrating that one person (with the support of thousands) can stand up for what is right. It does help all of us (and perhaps even this country) in the long run.

I'm pretty speech less

3 months ago I was the part of the Internet staff at Lincoln of BMW/Husker Auto Group and apparently I was laid off by Micheal Barrett who allegedly stole my Internet leads. Being force to sign the paper for termination I just quit my job and happily making more money as a sale rep Suzuki Auto Plex. Husker went to shit after all the changes that Van Tyul Enterprise try to do when Fil Cantani did some changes to the dealership. Hence, coming from to a Florida Dealership to Nebraska didn't do much to improved the whole system. Cutting pay to loyal workers, spending more on trades, and spending more money on the dealership (Starbuck coffee machines, free pizza to the customers) which wasn't necessary.

To me I felt this was karma....and I'm deeply satisfied

Enjoy your new E90 M3 =)
Wow! Next to Ken, you are the luckiest guy here. What goes around comes around.

Funny, but I can’t help but think that noone here is a winner in this mess. Ken got the car, but the whole point of the purchase, to buy an M3 cheap, is gone down the drain. AND he said himself this may be wasn’t even a perfect car he wanted, but price was sweet thus it was enough. But with now car costing close to MSRP after the lawyer fees are counted in, which seem to be in few thousands of dollars, then I am a bit sad for the man. Then again, this is typical – it costs a lot for the little guy to stand up and speak up. I respect him for sticking to his guns and getting the car, never mind he lost money and nerves on this. Dealer also got bad publicity, probably lost money on the car (i don’t think they did, they just didnt make as much) and alienated new potential customers. Eitherway you look at this, it kind of sucks it came down to this.

I wish that Ken really loves his car when he gets it – it seems to be in great color combo, good spec, and i’m sure he’ll enjoy it immensely without regret. I have to say though .. .lawyer fees are outrageous.
