BOXTER SPYDER (Manual) or 2010 PORSCHE CARRERA (PDK) ?
Hi Guys, some of you know me from post like M3 over 1M coupe, but now, I come to you for more advice.
I have the chance to buy a 2011 PORSCHE BOXTER SPYDER (Manual) or 2010 PORSCHE CARRERA (PDK). I know there are huge diferences betwen those cars, but I really want to know your opinions. Thanks for your time. |

being an expert myself, i would say go with the Carrera GT. sure its much more expensive, but you'll really enjoy the ride.

Carrera hands down. It's both a track car and a daily driver. I wanna say the Carrera is better equipped but I've heard that you can have some stuff added to the Boxster Spyder (such as a door handle) as well so I can't comment on that. Overall, I think the Carrera will have much more presence considering it's Porsche's top of the line model.

If you already own a C350, go with the Boxter Spyder. It's considered one of the best handling cars on the planet, it's more fitting for a second car, and there's nothing like rowing the gears yourself (even if it is "slower")

Since you already have a decent sedan, go for the boxster. The benz is ur dd and shopping car. Boxster will be the weekend/convertible fun car.

I love the spyder but it's too impractical to be considered anything other than a weekend toy thing.

That's the way I usually feel but this new Boxter is a lot better than the previous... and then the Spyder is a totally different animal.

I don't think Boxster has ever been misspelled so many times in one thread.
That being said, I'd go for the Spyder over the vanilla Carrera anyday. Now, if you start adding to that Carrera (with say... an "S", "4S", etc...), then I'd probably opt for the Carrera. |
