Installing TC Kline coilovers.

Do you reuse the rubber spring mount in the rear spring mounting?

Thanks in advance.

I think the spring pads are optional. I'd call TC Kline to be sure.

BJ. We figured it out. Thanks for the reply. We used the bottom one, but not the top.

You should not use any of the OE rubber spring pads at all.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. TC Kline said it was optional. What issues might come up if I leave them in? We were worried about steel/aluminum contact.

Please post a review. I was considering TCK on my E46 but never got around to it. Looking for coilovers on the E90

Well, if you leave the rubber pad in the spring is not allow to rotate and unwind, and that causes irregular spring rates. Taking it out will allow the spring to move a bit easier, but you are concerned about the contact. The solution will be thrust sheets:

I've owned several sets of coilovers including TC Kline SA for one of my prior cars. There is no issue what so ever using the rubber spring perch since spring will still rest on the ride height adjuster which is placed on the bottom or top. I prefer bottom since you can reach it easier but that's your call. Having the ride height adjuster sitting without a rubber spring perch has two down sides -- more NVT and great chance it could come unsettled if the suspension were to unload since they don't spring tenders.
