Rotating Wheels Front-->Rear

Is there anything inherently wrong with running the front wheels in the rear and vise-versa? Aside from a tendency to oversteer, would it really hurt anything? My front tires have PLENTY of tread left and the rears are fading fast.

That would look kinda strange.

stock rear wheels should be able to go in the fronts without rubbing issues. although it will look weird.

Y'know that the fronts and rears are different offsets and sizes....right? I have a squared track setup, and even that looks pretty darn wierd. Using the OEM wheels with a staggered offset and sizes would look even more strange.

could consider using spacer, but I am not sure it would do much help in these situations .Not sure which OEM rim you got. Bascially with directional tire and staggered setup the only way you can rotate the tire is to dismount the tire and swap with the otherside.. There is no way around it..

Did you throw a few back before coming up with this idea?

Not only would you have backward stagger on the widths, you'd have backward stagger on the height. Nose to the sky, widetrack front, skinny rears. There really is not anything right about this, unless you also do a FWD conversion.

Is this a serious question?
You own a $70,000 car. Go get some Vreds or V12's if you don't want to spend money on PS2's.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I have Vredesteins on now. There's a track day coming up in october and I'd like to save as much rear tread as possible because I know they'll be done afterward. It would only be for the next couple weeks, nothing permanent.

That should kill the understeer issue at the track!
