Detroit IS the larger venue, because it has a LARGER audience. A LARGER portion of the world pays attention to it. The United States is the largest power in the world. Oh wait, it isn't the largest by square footage so I guess that statement can be construed as wrong by someone who is really reaching, can't it? Take a look at the geneva / frankfurt example as well. |

I know you keep up with this board meticulously, so you know that the E90 M3 already debuted its world in LA (with the world debut in Tokyo). Ok check. Then, also, the link you post above says nothing about a debut, just that the car will be on display. It is one of many BMWs listed. Edit: Ok, so it does say that off in the margin. But you know better. So it seems you were just a bit bored and looking for something to post. Or you just wanted to give some props to your local show. Nothing wrong with either I suppose. Course I've seen people get flamed for much less round here. But at least your thread exploded into a flamewar anyway. BTW, I think we'll get pricing when BMW is good and ready, probably won't be at any show. |

It isn't my local show. It is 4hrs away and I have only been there once. Not sure where all this "local show" stuff comes from.

I've been there at least three times myself. Nice show, and a good excuse to for a road trip to Chicago. |

Do anyone know for sure if the M3 would be there in the Detroit Auto Show?

However, for it not to be there would be nearly unheard of. Once a car has had its public reveal, it typically makes it to all of the large shows. There are rare exceptions of course, but with a car this high profile and especially this close to release, it would be a shock to everyone if it were absent. That said, I am not convinced at all that we will learn one new thing about the M3 at NAIAS (pricing, M-DCT or otherwise). Hope I'm wrong though. |

Monroney
I doubt very much it will be in conjunction wtih the Detroit show, where the focus is on the new diesels and 1 Series cab. It will probably be released independently. Must happen soon. I'm sure the Monroney stickers are being printed for the first US production cars. It's be nice to know the official EPA mileage that needs to go on those stickers, as well.
