Australian map updates

Hi all,

Has anyone found a somewhere to buy the 2014 map update. Non dealer that is...

I have a 2010 e92 m3 so that's ccc Iam pretty sure.

The 2014 Map of Australia isn't out according to the bmw-navi website.

If your M3 is a 2010 model you have CIC which accepts map updates to an internal hard disk drive either via USB stick in the glove box or via DVDs in the front slot. You will need an FSC activation code that matches your VIN for any update too. The current maps are still 2013.

Just go to a dealer and have a chat to them, they will give you a few options to getting the latest update, I have the 2013 one, but tbh, its not really any different from that 2011 - (drove in a previous car), are you finding it horribly out of date? if not I wouldn't really bother too much.

I would let you burn my Cd, but I believe its encoded to your VIN.

As stated before the FSC code he needs will be based on his VIN, I got a lifetime FSC and the 2013 update (which as stated you download and put on a usb thumb drive) for $160. Doubt a dealer will be that cheap, my car is 2010 and yes it is CIC.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I've moved to Brisbane and with the abundance of new roadways it regularly sends the poor gps woman into a tailspin! I'll keep hunting online for the 2013 update as Iam anti-BMW dealer as Iam anti-bunnings!

last time i went to do an update, the latest 'online' version for CCC iDrives I could find was:

You can compare exactly what yours is by putting the disk into your PC and opening the cdrom.toc file with notepad/wordpad to the details I posted.

Also, without jumping the gun, I might have come across some 2012 maps - but ill test that out out tomorrow hopefully...

Just did mine Max, cost is around $50.00 for the latest I have the vendor's name. He will provide the code and the maps as a download, you just provide your VIN.

Jeez you try and help some people, Perth BMW at the time I was right but thanks for being a dick. And netgun as for being misguided well yeah whatever get a life.

On a separate note I have the 2013 update on cd if any of the Perth crew who are interested to use for free. Just get your own FSC code.

Hi Guys, I've entered this thread a bit late (apologies) - anyone know what the latest updates are in getting the following functionalities:

1) 2014 Australian Maps
2) Enabling DVD in Motion

Ideally, anyone in Perth who has done this to their E90 M3?

Latest map update is available through a link for a good price but you need to code the car to get DVD in motion. Mike Benvo (BPM sport) does coding and there are many other options with coding as well

Look for it in the classified section of e90 post australia. For CCC only. I've participated and the disc works great.
