At $199 price is already VERY reasonable. Just took delivery of mine from them today (ordered Tuesday pm and received them in Oregon 3 days later).

I have never heard of this tire. Is it a summer or all season? Is it better than the OEM PS2s?

What is the attraction? Are they cheap?

They are NOT CHEAP, they are inexpensive!

Vredestien tires are the best value in the high performance summer catagory.

They rival (and in my opinion BEAT) the PS2's in a number of catagories, including treadwear and wet weather performance.

Vredestein doesn't spend a lot of money advertising their tires. They simply allow their product to speak for itself. (and me of course)

I was actually going to link him to your previous threads on these tires, but I knew at some point you would chime in

Vredestien should be paying you

Here is the original thread on this tire that has a lot of information.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...light=Sessanta

They are a Dutch company that has wide distribution in Europe, but not so much in the US.

I spoke with them today about price.
It's not as good as I was hoping. They can do $185/tire at best if we get 10 people.
They'd have to order more fronts too.

Not sure it's worth the trouble but let me know. They say they're barely making money at that price.

That's a 60 dollar savings. I would say it's better then nothing. Are you thinking 255/35 275/35?

Anyone who is on the fence should go with this price and join the GB. It's likely the very best you're going to get on these tires, which are already a steal. Even for people on the East Coast, this savings compensates for cheaper shipping from any of the distributors I've seen on this coast, and it matches what I got (including shipping costs) ordering from Group A Wheels in NY.

I'll try to ask them about drop shipping the front ones since they would have to order more of those and they need to be shipped anyway.

IMO, dealing with a GB to save $50 or so bucks is not worth the effort.

I know--just trying to help the group that is close to getting 10, and if PT accepts orders of the group directly, there wouldn't be any additional hassle.

Appreciate the effort. But if a couple back out and 10 don't come through, then what? Not trying to piss on you game, but I like to keep things simple. At $199 I can believe they aren't making much on these. I almost feel guilty compared to PS2 prices!

Vredestein Ultra Sessanta, $873 delivered (PerformancePlus, CA - OR)
Michelin, PS2, $1,494 delivered (Tire Rack, CA - OR)

For those math-challenged, Vreds are 58% of PS2 price, or 71% less expensive. And with a wear better wear rating. Caveat, I have not drive these yet. I will report back in a couple months if there are trade-offs. I will be putting them on at the beginning of winter. PS2s are a pretty good rain tire, but useless in any snow or ice. We shall see.

For those who'd ike to save a few bucks, let foosh give you a hand.

Again, I know. You and I already have our Vreds. Just trying to lend a hand, as I respect their effort. It doesn't really help to rain on it.

Just get them on your own. We don't have the people necessary, which is understandable given the $60 savings.

Oh, well. Thanks for trying. At least I'm local and can have them installed at PerformancePlus.

They'll take care of you and don't have that tire shop attitude I've experienced at almost all other tire shops. They'll also given free patches, rotations with balancing. Nitrogen is also included if you want.

Do you know how much they charge for mount and balancing the tires? It seems like when you take a bmw to a tire shop, the prices go up, and they don't care very much about your car/rims.
