Autosolutions SSK - urethane vs OEM bushing?

Hello all,

Recently ordered the AS SSK with 6mm increased height (6mm for the F10 knob I need to install) and 12% reduction in throw.

I was given an option for urethane bushing (additional cost) vs OEM bushings. Been reading the threads about this awesome shifter but didn't see anything about these bushings.

I just wanted to see if any current owners have had any experience with the upgraded bushings and if it was worth it. More specifically, any noticeable NVH?

Many thanks!

OMG. I don’t think I could handle what must be a lot of random, in-the-background buzzing and vibration.

Thanks for the feedback. That's basically what Ronald told me regarding NVH or noise that is barely audible in a silent car. Just curious if that upgraded bushing is making a huge noticeable difference in shifter feel.

Gerikivan, looks like you got other reasons for NVH with the other solid bushings/engine mounts. I'm still trying to tease out what other bushings I'm trying to upgrade on the car myself, especially as I go FI later this summer. A Harrop would likely drown out any other whining and resolve the issue lol

well after having all the shifter bushings and a short shifter i have a 33% reduction but with a tall shift knob..the shifter will feel more precise and direct... im not sure if your shifter will be notchier since you only have 12% but mine is due to having 33% reduction...he does recommend to say under 300grams on the shift knob

for the bushing that ronald have.. he said it might just a slight gear whine which i like the sound of it and he said it will be completely silent above 40mph..
