Meisterschaft GT & Encore HFC initial review

Meisterschaft

On a scale from 1 to 10 from loudness I would give it a 5. It has a nice throaty sound down low which turns higher pitched as the rpms climb up. On the outside it can be heard and I honestly don't think this exhaust alone would cause any "unwanted" attention. Fit and finish are excellent. I received mine with the Aero Shield along with the Shadow Chrome Tips. Its looks perfect on SG. The split tip design is also very cool. A lot of my Co workers are digging that design. I honestly think by far this is one of the best exhausts one could get for an m3.

Meisterschaft /w Encore HFC & Resonators

Holy shit and i really mean holy shit. This thing has become a monster.
On the same loudness scale I would give it a 10 (and to top it off i have heard gintani and rpi are both louder than this) So I cant imagine what that would even sound like.

What I dont like
Whenever you go full throttle there is some rasp that occurs around 4-4.5k rpm. once you hit 5k and up its gone and just a loud high pitched scream.

If you accelerate at 1/2 thottle its not as bad, but still around 4k it gets scary.

Performance
My car doesnt even feel anything like stock anymore. The power is crazy. This is by far the biggest and most noticeable gain i've ever felt.

Overall:
I like it a lot, but im hoping things will quiet down a little bit. One thing I would like is to eliminate the rasp so if anyone has any suggestions im completely open to them

I dont have any of my own pictures as of yet, but jason@RennSpec took plenty of the Meisterschaft install here

Ill try and get videos soon.

Thanks for the review. I thought the raspiness was one of the draws to the Meisterschaft--more European than American sound? Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by raspy.

Enjoy!

This has got to be one of the craziest exhaust notes I've heard in a LOOOONG time!

Sound clips? I have the Meister GT as well and already think that's the loudest I want to go but I want the added performance. Would love to hear some clips.

I just added 2 12" resonators and it really helped out. It took the edge off especially around 4k rpm. It's still loud, but its more manageable. The rasp on the system is now perfect, not overly done. The volume on the system can still come down a touch, but ill worry about that later.

Who addded the resonators for you? and where did you get the resonators?
