Perhaps loading the DVD to test the Nav system and the DVD itself is part of the delivery pre-inspection procedure?

If you want the 2008.1 DVD in a few hours just take a look here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=129

Less than 10 hours in my case.

Does anybody know if the 1-series uses the exact same nav. disc? Asking b/c a buddy of mine's waiting for his 135i to arrive in a few weeks & not sure if he'll get the 2008.1 version. If not then I'll just burn him a copy (assuming both are compaitble) when my M3 arrives in early-to-mid June. Thx!

Just an FYI - my M3 arrived this week and has the 2008.1 Nav DVD. Hopefully, this is a non-issue for people getting their cars now.

Are the Austin toll roads on the 2008 version?

My DVD was the 2007.2 one, and I picked it up at the Performance Center. I reported the issue to my dealer, and they are sending me the 2008.1 DVD and a return FedEx envelope for the old disc. Pretty easy swap, they were cool about it.

I take delivery tomorrow and I called my Salesman about it. Thanks for the post. I wouldn't have realized sooner otherwise.

Thanks

I downloaded from the above mentioned link via torrent.

I had problems at first however. I used a Memorex DVD-R + Disc at first and it would work for about 5 min, then the NAV would shut off.

I then tried a FujiFilm DVD-R - Disc, and works fine, but still shut off 2x thus far (maybe due to high heat?). When it did work, it would work for hours.

Anyone who has used it consistently WITHOUT it EVER shutting off, can you tell me what kind of DVD-R Disc you used? Both discs I used were not DVD-RW's.

Thanks!

Looks like I-130 East of Austin is shown. I tried looking around the cedar park area but couldn't tell. (But I must admit I don't drive up there so I wasn't sure if I was missing something.

Hope that helps.

This should take care of all of your woes when it comes to determining your NAV version and updates:
