IMHO, 50k+ miles in less than 4 years is considered high mile.
Also, if you can void your warranty because of your mileage and not the year of the car, that's considered high too.

Some people considered 100k+ miles are average miles, because they have 200k or even 300k miles cars.
Some people also considered 11k miles is a high mile, like in this thread.

OK, here goes:

1) 40,xxx miles, just bought it about 10 days ago (CPO car and maintenance package so I'm not sweating repairs for a few years.)
2) 2009
3) No mods yet and the only thing I have in mind before I hit the track for the first time with this car is a Clear Bra
4) Seems great so far but hey it's only 10 days and less than 1,000 miles - but a few tanks of gas (I've got to stay out of M-mode a bit more but it's so hard to do...)
5) I'll either sell this in a few years shy of 100k miles while CPO warranty and maintenance package still in place or I'll keep it and run it into the ground for 10+ years (might become my dedicated track car at some point if I don't migrate to a P-car.)

How many miles with the ESS kit? It is something I would love to do in the future, but I'm terrified of grenading the engine.

Thanks op for this thread after reading the horror post in the engine section I started feeling alittle werry about the M3 but good to see some high milege M's out there with no issues . I have an 08 with only 26000 miles in excellent condition and garage kept, I'm looking for a few more years of fun with her before moving on.

2008 manual with 42k miles. Not high, but only issue has been idle control valve and dirty paint.

1. 73,000 Miles (Milaged out of factory warranty)
2. 2008
3. No mods
4. Idle control valve at 15K. Now needs oil level sensor. Absolutely love car. Would order new one if not for house remodeling.
5. Probably sell before 100K warranty expires and find low milage E92.

nice to see positive comments about reliability, only helps with my decision to keep my car a long time. I am a firm believer of if you take care of your car, it will take care of you.

5. I always keep my cars for about 2 years on average. I'll probably entertain my 1st exotic, probably a used Gallardo (NON-LP) or depending on how the new M3 looks, maybe trade into that.

5. Will keep as long as I can. Truly a wonderful and special vehicle. I still have 911 fever. This car has helped it subside.
