Silver really highlights the wheels and shows the aggressive depth of the Y-spoke pattern.

SILVER!

I always liked the BMW Style 220m wheel on my M'3 I think it is a personal preference some of the younger folks here like the black us older dudes perhaps like the original colour as the 220m wheel has.

I'm sure you will pick what is right for you

Like both, prefer gloss black...bit of brake dust makes them look matte which looks good as well.

If you decide to go black then I'd suggest satin finish. But given a choice anthracite would be my pick

I'm debating too. should I powder coat, paint or just buy the black GTS wheels? I pick up an AW M3 in May at PCD.

I have silver ZCP wheels as well and my dealership offered me a deal to powder coat those wheels to any color i want for 400 bucks plus the labor which is around almost 600 bucks in total. I think it is kinda expensive. I said i will think about it.

I had black rims with my winters and was impressed with the look.

It really does suit AW.

Changed to my silver summers with full intent of selling them and getting GTS black rims.

But after a few weeks now (especially after adding spacers) I have grown to like the silver - as others have said a little more classy and dare I say mature.

Best of both worlds - black in winter - silver in summer.

Either way they both look good especially in GTS variation.

Rolf...........

My feelings exactly.

Black = more youth

Silver = more traditional

So I will continue with black rims for winter and silver for the rest of the year.

5 months of youthful thinking and 7 months of old guy reality.

Silver. Black wheels have no definition, they're just an empty void under the wheel arches.

Gloss black will look great but......

To really make the look complete you need a 380mm BBK with Silver calipers. This will give the black wheels a bigger contrasting disc as well as a contrasting color caliper so the wheel has a nice background. Black wheels otherwise get "lost" IMO. i.e. you can't see the wheel design.

I think I agree with you. If you have colorful calipers, the black pops.
