I HATE My Cousin...

so hl0m4n setup an appointment for me at the art of tint to FINALLY get tints...something ive been waiting almost a year to do...the appointment if for saturday which is 2 days away...today, my cousin comes over in his piss yellow srt4 and asks my dad if he can do him a favor and pay for a ticket that he got cause he doesnt wanna tell his dad...my dad agreed to pay if my cousin gets his tints taken off...after my cousin left my dad refused to let me go with hl04man and i DONT KNOW HOW TO CONVINCE HIM OTHERWISE

any ideas guys?? i have tomorrow and thats it....

well the tints are for privacy/protection/lol Tell your father that first you can't have a car like a e93 without tints and second that being that u are young and drive a e93 people could try to challenge you/f with u or worse. Make the point that u don't do anything wrong and they even put tints on the cars on tv ads to enhance the apperance. Tell him the tints will be light 35%(u can get 20%) and perfectly legal. The worst thing that can happen is the cops could give you a ticket but in that event you would pay for it. First of all ... you dad should of refused to pay your cousin's fine. As a driver, you should be prepared to pay for your own mishaps.

As for the tint's, if its your car and I mean paid with your own cash or leased and you making the repayments then get them. If it's daddys car, then respect his wishes and be greatful he has given you the car in the first place.

eh, I'm a dad too....although my boy is a ways from driving.

I personally wouldn't care either, but I would expect my son to respect my wishes while he's in my house and I'm supporting him.

sorry, forgot to add that he got 20% tints...my dad was cool with it till this happened...im definitely not going to go against anything that my father says, i idolize that man...im just mad at my cousin for being stupid...i tried telling my dad that he had illegal tint and that i was gonna get 35%...but yeah, he doesnt wanna hear it

eh, let it go for a few days. Talk to him later, present a reasonable argument, leave the emotion out of it. The shop will still be there later.

F the tints you got a 335i man. ENJOY IT....i had a 88 camry until i was 20. then i bought myself a civic hb which i still own...

but yeah, my dad never liked for me to tint my windows but i still tint it anyways. I pay for all my shit (my rent, food, clothes, shoes, cars, lease payment etc.), but he still doesnt like it.

yeah don't disobey ur dad for something stupid like this but after a few days tell him how he is great, ect and how there r so many haters out there and u need the tint or that the car has a little tint on it already but doesn't provide uv protection. You are just trying to save your interior. If he doesn't bite then don't bring it up again but try to pitch it to him like that. Or what happens if u saw my sig and actually had a real girl in the car. Wouldn't u want some privacy instead of bringing her home and disrespecting your parents late at night... If u want to do some legwork and present a convincing argument try to get a sample piece from that guy tom and hold it up to the window. I doubt he would bug over that because 35% or maybe 30 you can see through it in daylight...
