I'm sure you caught my earlier post that the PC is doing virtually no customer deliveries in April?

That doesn't get it here a whole lot sooner right?

edit: Looks about 640 mi. Not the worst. Probably 9 hours.

Later, probably. Have to woirk into their schedule, and they're doing almost no deliveries in April.

Yep. I told that to my SA, and he said wanted to check to see anyway.

I was suggesting that you consider PCD later on if you were to land an April production slot for instance if the deal you've been negotiating indeed ends up falling through. You were asking about shipping costs from an out of state dealer, and PCD might give you a good reason to pick it up from out of state and drive it back on your own. I would do it if it would be possible for me to pick up in April, but that is unlikely.

Yeah, not a bad idea. I might check it out after the dealer bit finalizes.

Where are you getting this 1.5 months time frame? ...all the CA's you've been talking to?

As long as you've got all your lines in the water, the next few days should bring some confirmations on allocations. I think you have a good chance of scoring something soon.

If I wait for the next round of allocations which will be April builds with May delivery.
Otherwise, if I find a March build and say April delivery, then that is going to be a month or more earlier than waiting for 19s.

Then based on everything we know as of right now, I would focus on securing the April build/May delivery, because the 19's are worth the wait.

You can not pass up rims and tires for $1200. (...and they look pretty darn good for stocks)

I'd wait the extra month for the 19's...better than your average stock rim

Update:

I officially hate this process. Never knew it would be so hard to try and get someone to take my $70k.

Looks like I am going to pack it in and wait the situation out. Other dealers weren't so willing to make a trade for a built car available at least a month before their demos got there.
Now waiting for the April build/May delivery allocations to come down. Hopefully my dealer will get allocations next week and they aren't all for DCT cars. If he doesn't get the right allocation, that is going to put the wait REALLY far out!
One positive, because I am willing to wait it out with him, I am getting a bit more off than before. In total, it will be 2% off MSRP.
Can look at it like that will pay for 19" wheels (they better be available for April production) or GCT.

I think you've made the right decision. As far as the wait...we'll liven up those days and weeks with plenty of photos of ours for you.

so when are you going to tell us who your dealer is?

I thought the first month I had the car would pass fairly quickly and then by that time I could have had the car with the 19's coming in. So, hopefully that is how the timeline will play out. Can't beat the price break either. One month really isn't that much in the whole ownership period.

Didn't know you wanted to know SO badly.

There it is.

I can see the phone calls flooding the place now...

"...hello, yes, I am calling to get in on the 2% discount that you are giving off of MSRP on the e92 M3...what? well, you gave it to Epacy, why not me?..."

I doubt anyone else is going to get it. This situation has been under different terms and mainly because they didn't have their demo car sold. I wish I had contacted them earlier. I could have bought the demo car and spec'd it out and have it in two weeks!!!
