Anyone having Connected App Issues The Past Few Days?
All of a sudden I noticed that destinations sent from my phone never show up on the car. I then tried to send unlock and lock commands and those didn't work either.
I called BMW and they said that two days ago, all my services were disconnected but could not tell me why. They reset up my account, and added my car back into the account, and all should be good...but they're not. I'm now at the point where I can send the commands using the app, but they never succeed. They always fail. I called BMW again, and they said there was a connected drive outage for the past few days. However, I'm not sure if I believe them as my friend with a 6-series is able to send remote commands just fine. Is anyone else having issues?

Same, I always ventilate my car while I walk to my car and it just got stuck. Tried deleting and re downloading and nothing really changed, it says that there is a command in progress.

My lock-unlock works, but I have sent destinations and they do not show up on the nav menu. I look under destinations, not sure. But I do not see them.

My car disappeared from the app - and the car itself couldn't load, e.g., the weather app in iDrive. I called the ConnectedDrive service number (888-333-6118) on 2019-02-14: they were (are?) having server-side problems.
They suggested logging out of the app, deleting it, and reinstalling it. Seemed to help. |

Mine is working. Sunday,my wife sent a destination while we were driving. It was in my messages in less than 1 min.

I am having similar issues, destinations pretty much never arrive to the car and sometimes arrive late

tried deleting the app and reinstalling, just tried to locate my vehicle and just loads, never actually does anything. I used to be able to see my fuel level as well, but that doesn't load either

To those that are having issues, is your car in a location that should have good reception? Is your phone in a place with good reception? Are you on wifi or cellular for the phone?

Check under bmw connected messages tab on your idrive main menu, are they in here? Bmw may not have meant to put them in the nav destinations

I had problems last week, the information was wrong on the connected app and it would not connect.
I called and was told they were having issues and it would be resolved in a day or two. They took my serial number info and told me it would be passed on to the appropriate parties. My connected app started working again the next day. I would guess this is all part of the same issue, give them a call so they can fix your specific serial number as well. |

I usually have the app disabled until I need it, but i enabled it yesterday and I keep getting this message even when it's not in use. On a samsung galaxy s7 running android 8.0.

My '14 had this same issue beginning back in December, and it had actually lost all connectivity - it wouldn't pull any RTT data, and the app commands never completed. I called the Connected Drive hotline and they had me try a couple of things within the car to refresh the software, but that didn't fix it, so i ended up taking it to the dealer, where they reloaded the software and its been fine ever since.

The novelty wore off quick once I realized it the app was bogging down my phone as it appeared to be constantly running in the background. Into the trash it went!
I did try sending a destination from the app to the vehicle but it didn't work as intended. It took a good 20 minutes of driving for the car to receive the input!

Just an update that I fixed mine today. I called BMW Assist and they said there was still an ongoing outage. I called BS, and phoned a friend who's services are still working just fine.
I then called BMW Genius and he had me disconnect the negative cable from the battery for 20 minutes....this he said gives it a full shutdown. Once done and reconnected, I sent a remote command to honk the horn and flash the lights. The only thing not working for me is sharing a destination from Google Maps to Connected Drive / car. But sending to vehicle from the Connected Drive app does work.
