If it were me, I'd take some of the SS mesh I use to protect racecar radiators and build a little domed screen for the inlets to keep out the birds and small dogs and whatnot.

Backing plates would be great. Only concern is that with wider wheels/tires, at full steering lock there is virtually no space for the hoses. Race cars get away with this because they hardly ever go full lock in a race (unless you spin out, of course). If there is a solution to address this that would be great

This gives users more control on how the kit works for their specific needs. Race cars can leave them on all the time. Daily drivers with 5~ track days a year can remove the hose to prevent street damage. It's just one extra few minute step while changing wheels or before going to the track.

If they don't rub with your Apex 10" front rims from your rims group buy, then I am in for a NEW GROUP BUY for a complete kit.
Thank you for providing useful racing products at affordable prices. You are like "IND/ESS" but for RACING.. LOL |

I'm very interested in the full kit (ducting, hose, plates). In an earlier post, you (Apex) mentioned that something could be available before April, do you mean the ducts or do you mean the ducts and the plates (i.e. full kit)?
The reason I ask is that I'm considering pulling the trigger on a StopTech BBK, before this year's season starts (May), but would rather spend the money on your complete kit and some PFC rotors to save on cost. I have currently warped my stock rotors (no, it's not pad deposits) and go through 1 complete set of Carbotech XP12's in 2 days at Road America. I had no fade, but significant wear on the pads (obviously) and the rotors. So over the long run, I'm pretty much spending as much money as a BBK maintaining the stock setup and hope that with some nicer rotors and your kit I would reduce brake temps and minimize wear on both pads and rotors while not having to spend $2.7K on an ST-40 kit. |

These kits won't have a special block off feature for those in the snow. That will be up to the owner. We would have to do a redesign and new tooling produced if we make a version with a snap on block off plate. I will look into for future production. For now it's a race oriented part.

That's what we're shooting for. I'll see if I can expedite it even more.

~~~~~~~ Just an FYI guys, this thread is a technical discussion about the product as it develops. As a vendor we are not permitted to discuss pricing in this section of the forum. There will be a thread created in the vendor suspension commercial/classified section once it reaches that point.
