Sub 100k cars that walk the M3

Lets make a list, and limit the mods to 5k and under. Also, lets not count what you can get used. Strictly MSRP.

I'll start us off

Z51 Corvette
Corvette Z06
Nissan GTR
BMW M5
CTS-V
Modded 335i?

Who cares? There are so many it's not even funny.

I'll never get people that buy M3's for straight line acceleration.

Excelent point, there is actually alot of cars under $100k that could give the M3 fits with or without an additional $5k in mods.

Thread is a bit lame but I will play. By walk, I read substantially best in a straight line competition. If that is the case get rid of the Z51, modded 335i, C63 and E63. Now from my personal perspective walking should really mean walking all around not just in drag racing. If that is the case you can also eliminate the C63, E63 and modded 335i.

A better question to me is what car in the class of the M3 (and by class I don't mean status, I mean size, quality, price, vehicle type, luxury and included features) can best it both at the strip, at the track and in terms of driving enjoyment. That list is pretty darn short if it contains any cars at all.

OK now /thread.

What does this matter, an M3 isn't any where near $100k. This thread is pointless.

Driven most of those cars and I could not disagree more.
Wouldn't trade my M for any of the above listed cars.
If anyone has the cars listed above I am always available for a comparison.

M5 starts at 106k so that's out.
M6 starts at 121k.
CTS-V wouldn't beat it because you'd crash as your eyes would be closed so you don't have to look at the car.
Modded 335??? With 5k of mods you're not going to beating it for long before you hear a big bang. You can't skimp on a turbo mod if you want your car to last (and yeas I've been there).
Carrera S starts at 107k (Carrera is 94k but that won't do it)
Corvette: I'm sure they're all faster but imagine going faster then looking down at that dash! Then you remember that once you win the race you still have to look at it. Oooooh.

I'm only in Canada 8 weeks now so I have no clue of any other car prices. But as far as I can tell they're all free compared to Ireland.

I dunno, to be honest I thought the list was rather short, thats why I made the thread.

I love my M too, I'll watch a Z06 walk me all day...I could have one of those but I chose NOT to buy one.

M5 starts around 80K in the US.

Either way nobody really cares about who can beat who in a straight line. We could have all just bought some EVO's, did some work and tadaa.

It's like saying I wouldn't take an F430 because it's straight line performance isn't up to par with a hundred other cars priced below it.
