I was wondering if anyone had an update on the longer term reliability of these?

I do like the higher brightness and visibility, but not at the expense of less reliability or having some of the LEDs fail as they should last as long the car unless there is shoddy quality.

doing some research on this myself and was thinking about getting this... increased visibility is always a decent investment IMO..

it looks like the OEM uses the same fiber method to light up its angel eyes, except the amount of light loss is significantly smaller compared to the AE's.

Perhaps another way is to somehow open the OEM up and put some reflective tape behind the fiber, just like how the guy did his own AE's on youtube...

The thing is that these kinds of design using SMD's provide a lot of brightness when someone is looking right at it, but does not work too well when, let say, someone is creeping up to your left/right and then you signal. I just went outside to have a crude experiment and the tip of the OEM glass tube is pretty blinding, providing a lot of visibility to those around your 7's and 8's

Has anyone done a group buy on these? I'd be down if there was one.
