Can't wait to get my cars back out to BC - for the scenery and roads and nice cheap gas...and not for the tax or the laser traps... Pile on the photos of any meets y'all! SF out!

Hey there fellow M3 owners in this area... I am looking for information to plan my autox, tracking season with the M3 this year. Has anyone here done those in your M3? Or know anyone who has?
As far as my own experience in these activities go, I have done autox in my previous car AP2 S2000 for couple years. Haven't yet done any tracking in any car. Thus looking for some pointers to start within the M3 crowd. Cheers!

Anyone has TRACKED their E9x M? Especially interested to know how our local Mission track is for our car... I've heard it's hard on the brakes; do our stock brakes fade easily on this track?

However it's pretty fun, the M3 is plenty capable. I tracked there with my 335 a few years ago and at the time my buddy was in his e93 M3 6mt. The only negative thing he said was it took him a few days for his stock brakes to feel normal again. |

As I am seriously considering to get some track day experience this year. I have started checking with some of my VCMC friends / contacts about their track days experience; I have not quite yet decided if I will have my first track day with Morrisport or VCMC. I am definitely interested to track this year, so I have March 30th circled on my calendar for now... going to get more info from my buddies who have done this. I am still waiting to see VCMC's 2013 schedule, as my M3 is still very new to me (just went over 5000km last weekend!), I would want to do at least an autox (something I am somewhat familiar with) in it to get better feel of the car before tracking in it.

Next event in Feb huh... that's probably a UBCSCC event, right? I haven't been at any of their events but I know it's pretty much the same players at these local autox events regardless of the club running them. I should check out UBCSCC site for calendar and membership fee, etc.

My 335 felt fine afterwards, no issues. My buddy just said his brakes just didnt feel 'right' afterwards, like it had lost some bite or something. But he said that went away after a week or so.
The best part about the experience was to really experience the engineering capabilities BMW had put into developing these machines. I loved the low end torque in the 335, hated the no LSD no grip exits. I'm eager to see what it's like in the M. I'm probably going to the March 30th event too. Hope to see some folks there. |

Hi there,
I live in Edmonton but found a 2008 M3 in Vancouver I'm interested in. Was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in having a look at it for a fellow enthusiast. I normally would never buy a car unseen, but I'm sure you guys have a pretty good eye on what to look for. I have all the records on the vehicle already, seems all clean, just a good thorough walk around would be nice for peace of mind. Please PM if interested with your email and I'll get in touch with you with the details. Appreciate the help! Thanks Steve |
