E93 M3 Bash Bring it On
When I spin rubber in a straight line, is it expected from an E93 to exhibit wheel hop? This is most embarrassing when trying to impress my 10 year old. Side slides are not an option with passengers, so it is my only opportunity to show my child that I am truly a master of all things automotive.

Try popping the clutch in 2nd gear. It's a lot smoother

Since you asked for it...
Yes the sedan and coupe are better than the convertible.

You're seriously doing burnouts and shit with a 10 year old in the car?
I'm not sure which should be taken away from you, the car of the kid.

Yawn. Yes, I spin the wheels with my son in the car when I take him out to buy him some China White. He is usually coming off an epic high and needs a fix fast. Hence the wheel spin. And thanks for addressing the real issue, my irritating wheel hop.

+1 and as for the wheel hop, I tried dumping the clutch once and got the same, wasn't really that important so I haven't tried again. Be sure you have the setting right for wheel spin too.

doors secure
belt on visual perimeter check yell "CLEAR" ignition M Button DSC off audio to Eminem engine to operating temp rubber underwear brake off clutch engine to 4,000 dump At this point thousands of people stare in disbelief as they realize they are witnessing true genius. Their proximity to coolness is empowering, and often leads to spontaneous acts of goodwill. This also leads my wife to beat me about the head, accompanied by carefully selected verbiage. For what? Topless rolling, yes. Perfomance, no way. The extra 500 pounds kill the acceleration, and the loss of torsional rigidity make it handle like a pool raft. Well, maybe not that bad, but you get my point.
The convertible is a novelty. Top down fun. The kids love it. |

500 pounds more kills the acceleration??? No way!!! I think my car is damn fast! If i take my car on a racetrack then maybe the slight difference might affect me, but since i don't , i couldn't care less. Top down cruising down the street with the noise of that v8 in your ears or chlostrophobia in a carbon fiber top coupe.... Mmmmmm i'll choose option number 1. And don't get me wrong i love the coupe ( had a 335 coupe before my E93 M3) but to me Vert is definitely the best of both worlds. Sedan not my thing at all. If i were to get a 4 door M it would be an M5. |
