iPod

Quick question for anyone who added the BMW iPod adaptor their car. My car did not come with the iPod adaptor, but having BMW add one. I have Nav and am wondering if it will function like the one from the factory. My last BMW had one and it worked great, but had added one into my Wife's BMW and it did not work like the Factory one as far as playlists and showing song info, but her car did not have Nav.
