I Finally Ordered My '09 E90 M3 Baby!!!
First of all, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone on the forum for providing so much information on a broad range of topics for the M3. I wouldn't be as happy as I am without the help from you all....So I just want to say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR ALL OF THE AWESOME HELP AND INFO ON EVERYTHING!
I spent countless hours on this forum researching options, prices, mods, DCT vs. 6 speed, how the Tech pkg is a must-have, and almost everything. I know, I know....Most everyone will not agree with how I configured/ordered my M3, but I wanted to have a pure and simple M3. The options I orderd are Interlogos Blue Metallic, Anthracite cloth/leather, titanium shadow trim, anti-theft alarm, 18 inch wheels, and a 6 speed manual. My configured MSRP on BMWUSA was $56,625. I got a deal for $56K out the door. I know that it may not be the best deal on the planet, but I know that I got the best deal out of my 3 local dealerships competing with each other to get me a reasonable price. I placed my order at Moritz BMW located in Arlington, TX. They simply gave me the best price and asked for a $1,000 non-refundable deposit on the order. Thanks for everything Moritz BMW! Any comments, complaints, or even compliments are welcome! That way maybe I can learn if I didn't get a very good price or something like that. Bottom line is that I'm so glad that I ordered my M3 exactly the way I wanted it to be. And btw, I'll use the money I saved from the BMW options onto plenty of great mods such as full exhaust w/x-pipe, software, ssk, pulley, performance air filter, matte blck kidneys, springs/spacers, and a very nice tint. Now I just hope all my hard work on the research pays off....And I'm sure it will. Oh yeah, if anyone was curious by chance....My previous car was a '06 Mitsu Evo IX MR. I sold it so that I could get something a little different and much more refined (without losing the performance of course..hehe). Last edited by Nawaaz; 05-21-2009 at 02:02 AM.. |

Great choice on color. I can't wait to see pics of it, especially once you get the "stance" you've been looking for. I'm trying to hold off on springs/spacers until people get more miles on them, but it's harder every time I see pictures of a great drop!

I've got to admit, the feeling of driving an M3 is simply amazing. I was so close to getting the new IS F and even the awesome C63 AMG, but the M3 has the heart and soul of a race car....And the others don't.

Nothing wrong with what you optioned out as long as you're happy with them!
As for pricing: -invoice is $53,085.00 (includes gas guzzler tax and destination). -plus $460 for MACO and training fee ($ is guestimate based on quick google) -plus 6.25% car tax - $3346 (tx car tax based on quick google) Total is $56891...so it looks like you did good at $56k out the door, as long as it includes tax! I too have an e90 on order...it's actually on it's way to SC right now and i'm scheduled for my PCD on June 24th! Last edited by M3ltdown; 05-19-2009 at 02:46 PM.. |

John@BMW
I have to admit, I have to give a HUGE amount of credit to the forum member "John@BMW". Without seeing his thread of pics of his car, I would not have been as happy with the look of my M3. Once I saw pics of his M3, I was so sure that I wanted to make my M3 look as good as his. I'm going to go with the exact same RD sport springs as he did and I'll also go with 15mm H&R spacers. Here is the thread that inspired me:

Then, I test drove the C63 AMG, and honestly....It's is a very, very, cool car. I like almost everything about it, even though it has an automatic. The exhaust note is ENOUGH reason to truly own the car...MY GOODNESS IT SOUNDS SO DAMN GOOD, I SWEAR!!! But the main problem was that with all the options I really wanted, the dealer would not do better than $75K out the door! Say WHAT!!!?!!! That is way too much. The main reason it came out that much was because it had a $4K AMG performance option to enhance the suspension and also remove the speed limiter to a top speed of about 174 mph I believe. It also had a very cool carbon fiber trim that was a $2500 option. With everthing said and done, $75K out the door is CRAZY and I will not go for that price on that C63 AMG. I told them to do $65K out the door and I'll come there and buy it right now, but they denied. Guess what? I got my M3 for almost 20K cheaper and it's optioned out exactly the way I want it. Also one of my many mods is going to be the AA Software upgrade....So that'll take care of the speed limiter "thingy"...hehehe. Oh yeah, and the M3 is the BEST sports sedan in the world for a reason....It has better handling than the C63 and the IS F......COMBINED!! |

Nice! She'll be fast with no options. BTW all deposits are refundable. My dealer tried to pull the same BS about non-refundable deposit, until I said no thanks, I'll order else where.

About the mods, here's my "TO-DO" List: 1.) AA Signature Exhaust 2.) AA X-pipe w/cat-delete 3.) AA Pulley 4.) AA Software 5.) RD Sport Springs 6.) H&R 15mm spacers all around 7.) Performance Air filter (brand undecided, but maybe AA) 8.) UUC SSK w/DSSR & UUC RK7A shift knob w/handbrake 9.) Matte black kidneys 10.) Upgraded BMW Aluminum Performance Pedals 11.) RPI Scoops (red) 12.) A nice tint (My wallet's gonna' take a HUGE hit with all these mods...But honestly, it's all worth it for me. I'm gonna order all these mods at once when my M3 officially arrives. And then I'll break-in my new car for about 2K miles. And then the real action will finally begin.)
