I know its an open-ended question, but does anyone here run 35-series tires with 20's? I want to run 20's but my friends that run 20's with 30-series tires are constantly bending wheels. If i'm gonna be dropping some change on BBS's or HRE's, I don't want to be bending them...

I know that offset, wheel width, and suspension come into play, but just wanted to know if anyone had this kind of setup.

What brand are these wheels that keep bending?

When I bought my car it came with 245/35/20 in the front. Obviously whoever put these tires on did not know any better. It rubs the fender liner because the profile is to tall. This is on a 8.5" wide wheel. My car is lowered on H&R's. You may get away with a 35 if your car is not lowered, depending on offset and wheel size. However, it will look awkward on 20" wheels without a drop. Keep in mind the stock 19" wheels have a 35 profile. You are adding a full inch on the overall diameter of the wheel.

No 35 series tires fit on 20" wheels for the M3. If you are worried about bending you should get 19's or 18's. I personally don't think 20's look better; they are oversized for the m3 and when I see them I assume the owner doesn't truly care about performance. There is no advantage to 20's in any measure. This is coming from someone who has actually had 20's, 19's and 18's on an M3. If you must have 20's get a quality forged wheel in order to keep weight down and decrease likelihood of bending.
