New record on a popped tire?
So today I found out that at exactly 371 miles I have a flat driver rear tire on my 2 day old Alpine White m3. Called up BMW assist and they were glad to come and get it, and discovered later in the day I had a dry wall screw in the tire, blah just my luck! Little disappointed that they won\'t be able to get me a new tire until Wednesday, but oh well they\'re taking care of it all free of charge as expected. Guess I\'m seeing if anyone has had any similar experiences?

GF just got a flat on her 1M at just over 1k miles from a dumb nail too. BMW Assist was marginally good and had nothing really to say when she told them the Tow Truck couldn't get the car on the bed because it was too low...
Long story there, but eventually when it got to a dealership they were initially refusing to install a new tire because the wheel was so 'damaged'. She only has the tire warranty, so it was a bit of a battle. FINALLY, she got a new one- but holy crap it was a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS to get a new tire on it through the warranty system.

Had trouble getting the m3 on a flat bed as well, I ended up having to back it up after refilling the tire. My front bumper rubbed a little bit on the gravel which almost made me cry but life is life, damn competition package

That sucks! Brand new car, brand new tire and kaboom, tire damage
On a side note, tow truck drivers should carry some 2X4s to clear the front bumper. I had a guy do that on my 'Ol jetta. |

She has BMW's tire warranty.
I'm really surprised that tow-trucks don't carry legitimate tools/objects to accommodate lower cars. The way the guy had the 2x4's setup was hilarious, it was doing absolutely NOTHING.

Yes, they are. My '08 M3 with 19s is a full inch lower than the Ferrari F430 at the front (it also has 19s), if you can believe that. They have the same clearance in the middle, but the Ferrari is all flat and fully covered, and the M3 has that darn black crap right behind the front bumper which is super low. And the differential is pretty vulnerable too. That's why I'd NEVER consider lowering the M3, or put anything in front that makes it even lower (lips, etc).

two tires since Feb (when I bought it) Front driver and rear passenger, already paid for the insurance that I have for 3 years, never buy a BMW without it.
